Automatic Sprue & Flash Trimming Machine

Custom automatic machine for removing sprues, gates and flash from molded plastic and rubber parts. Feeding, fixtures, trimming mechanisms and production layout can be customized according to your part and required output.

EMAIL

TIMEAST designs automatic sprue and flash trimming machines according to the actual molded part and

trimming requirements. The system can integrate automatic feeding, positioning, sprue removal, flash trimming,

scrap separation and finished-part unloading. Fixtures, trimming mechanisms and machine layout are customized

according to the part geometry, material and required production capacity.

Automatic Sprue & Flash Trimming

Molded parts may leave sprues, gates, flash or other excess material after the molding process.

Depending on the product, the trimming process can combine:

Clamping · Gripping · Pulling · Rotation · Cutting · Automatic Part Transfer

The exact method depends on the part. Some applications only require pulling or cutting, while others need

separate mechanisms to remove the center sprue and surrounding flash.

Custom Trimming Mechanism

The trimming tooling and fixtures are designed around the actual molded part rather than using one fixed mechanism.

Depending on the application, we can customize:

Gripping Position · Clamping Fixture · Pulling Direction · Rotation Movement · Cutting Method ·

Parts per Cycle · Scrap Handling

The objective is to achieve stable removal of the unwanted material while maintaining consistent part handling.

Automatic Feeding & Multi-Station Production

Parts can be supplied by a vibratory bowl, elevator hopper, conveyor, tray or other feeding system according to

the product. For higher production capacity, several operations can run simultaneously:

Loading → Trimming → Scrap Removal → Unloading

Depending on the process, the machine can use a multi-station rotary table, linear transfer system or another

customized layout.

Built for Different Molded Parts

The machine is not limited to one gasket or one product shape.

It can be developed for:

Rubber Parts · Elastomer Components · Injection-Molded Plastic Parts · Sealing Components · Automotive Molded Parts

The machine structure, feeding method, fixtures and trimming process are designed according to the actual part.

Send Us Your Part

Sprue and flash structures vary from one molded part to another, so we normally evaluate the actual product

 before proposing the machine.

For a quick evaluation, please provide:

Part Samples or Drawings · Photos of the Sprue / Flash · Material · Required Output · Current Trimming Method

Our engineers can then evaluate the suitable feeding, fixture and trimming concept for your application.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the machine be customized for my molded part?

Yes. The feeding system, fixtures, trimming mechanism and machine layout are designed according to

the actual part and trimming requirements.

Is 2,000 pcs/hour the standard machine speed?

No. Up to 2,000 pcs/hour is the reference capacity of one completed project. Actual capacity depends on

the product geometry, trimming process and number of parts handled per cycle.

Can other processes be integrated into the machine?

Yes. Vision inspection, laser marking, assembly, sorting and downstream transfer can be integrated where required.
