Validate your parts before selecting ultrasonic welding equipment.

TIMEAST evaluates ultrasonic plastic welding feasibility using your actual parts, drawings and performance requirements. Testing helps determine whether ultrasonic welding is suitable, identify potential joint or tooling issues, and recommend an appropriate machine configuration before you invest in production equipment.
If testing can be completed with existing tooling, the sample welding test and basic feasibility evaluation are free.
If a dedicated horn or fixture is required, the tooling cost will be quoted for your approval before fabrication.
The evaluation scope is based on your part design and production requirements. It may include:
Plastic material compatibility
Joint design and welding-area suitability
Weld strength, appearance and consistency
Sealing or leakage risk, where applicable
Suitable ultrasonic frequency and power range
Servo or pneumatic machine selection
Horn contact and fixture-support requirements
Risks such as flash, marking, deformation or part damage
Preliminary cycle time and automation feasibility
Please send the following information before shipping physical samples:
Photos of the assembled and unassembled parts
2D drawings or 3D files, if available
Exact plastic material grade, including fillers or additives when known
Required weld strength, sealing performance and appearance standard
Test pressure, holding time or permitted leak rate, if sealing is required
Target production volume and cycle time
Photos or videos of any current welding defects
Available sample quantity and whether samples need to be returned
Clear acceptance criteria help us evaluate the result correctly. If no specific standard is provided,
the test can indicate basic welding feasibility but cannot confirm final production acceptance.
Send part photos, drawings, material information and performance requirements. We first review material
compatibility, joint design and the likely welding method.
We confirm the sample quantity, shipping details, return requirements and whether existing tooling can be used.
If testing requires a custom horn or fixture, tooling charges may apply. After your approval, 3–4 working days
are normally required to prepare the tooling, depending on complexity.
We select a suitable ultrasonic welding system and adjust the relevant parameters. Multiple samples may be tested
when strength, sealing, appearance or repeatability needs to be compared.
We summarize the test findings, preliminary parameter range, tooling requirements, observed risks and recommended
equipment configuration. Photos or videos can be provided as part of the agreed evaluation.
After sample testing, we provide practical information to help you evaluate the welding process and select
suitable equipment. Depending on the agreed test scope, you may receive:
Welding feasibility assessment
Recommended ultrasonic frequency and power range
Recommended servo or pneumatic welding system
Preliminary welding parameters
Horn and fixture recommendations
Photos or videos of the welding trials
Identified risks and recommended next steps

Example of an ultrasonic welding sample test result. Actual evaluation results depend on part design, material and performance requirements.
The test result will indicate whether the application is suitable for ultrasonic welding, requires further design or tooling optimization, or is not recommended for ultrasonic welding.
Sample testing is a preliminary feasibility evaluation. Final production validation may require additional trials under
actual manufacturing conditions.
If testing can be completed with existing tooling, the sample welding test and basic feasibility evaluation are free.
Some products require a dedicated ultrasonic horn or fixture for accurate testing. Any tooling cost will be evaluated
and quoted for your approval before fabrication.
Please contact TIMEAST before sending samples. We will confirm the delivery address, required quantity,
test scope and return requirements.
Some samples may be welded, pulled, pressure-tested or otherwise damaged or consumed during evaluation.
If samples must be returned, please tell us before shipment so the arrangements can be confirmed in advance.
Customer drawings, samples and project information are used for technical evaluation and will not be published
without customer approval. If a formal confidentiality agreement is required, please confirm it before sending
files or samples.

The welding test and basic feasibility evaluation are free when existing tooling can be used.
If a dedicated horn or fixture is required, the tooling cost will be evaluated and quoted for
your approval before fabrication.
The quantity depends on the part structure and required evaluation. Send photos and drawings first,
and we will confirm the sample quantity before shipment.
The schedule is confirmed after reviewing the application, samples and tooling requirements.
If custom tooling is required, preparation normally takes 3–4 working days after approval,
depending on complexity.
No. Sample testing provides a preliminary feasibility assessment and equipment recommendation.
Final production approval may require repeated trials and validation under actual manufacturing conditions.
